Case studies from Romanian and \/ or universal literature and arts)\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FEAR AND LITERATURE<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The actuality of this type of theme is born out of the experience of the past years, when the pandemic brought about various reformulations, including of literature, but also out of the mutations which have arisen throughout the cultural ages under the influence of <em>fear<\/em>, analysed from a philosophical, literary, or cultural point of view in relation to all cultural products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Issue XXIV (1) of the <em>Lucian Blaga Notebooks<\/em> advances the following axes of debate:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Pandemics, epidemics, social maladies as reflected in literature<\/li>\n<li>Catastrophes and the apocalyptic imaginary<\/li>\n<li>Terrorism and individual \/ collective threats<\/li>\n<li>\u201eFear\u201d and \u201eanxiety\u201d in defining characters<\/li>\n<li>The ideology of fear, reality and fantasy<\/li>\n<li>Collective terror and social vision<\/li>\n<li>Pathologies and representations of maladies in literature<\/li>\n<li>Collective trauma and their representation in art, film, literature<\/li>\n<li>Censorship, subversive language in literature written in totalitarian regimes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bibliographical suggestions:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bourke, Joanna <em>Fear. Articles will undergo a process of peer review, with the volume expected to be published in December 2023.
